This section presents data regarding funding from the public sector, the private sector and the European Union.

Between 2007 and 2008 there was a significant increase in the funding received for Central America (from 692,925€ in 2007 to 925,800€ in 2008). This increase was a result of the fundraising success for projects that mix appropriate technologies with local exchange systems (especially the Project Gota Verde in Yoro, Honduras). The funds available in 2009 were approximately 807,980€.

Between 2009 and 2010, the amount of funds obtained from public and private organizations remained the same (613,215€ in 2009 and 606,359 € in 2010), despite the international economic crisis that affected most NGOs. European Union funds decreased in 2010 due to the closure of the Gota Verde project in Yoro, Honduras (our contractual relationship with the EU ended in the end of 2009).

Money is almost completely invested in the implementation of programs and projects according to our work strategy: local exchange systems, “appreciating what is ours” and appropriate technologies.
