Independently of where we work, there are several characteristics shared by the local groups and organizations STRO works with, such as:

  • They have a strong relationship with the community (economic and/or social) and work according to a series of principles and values (have a good reputation and are able to get the community together).
  • They support or implement productive activities and/or marketing activities with an emphasis on the use and transformation of local resources in a defined geographic area, preferable rural areas (though including small urban areas).
  • They are clearly open to new experiences and show interest in actively promoting participatory processes of local development (including other local actors).

If you think that your organization fits this description and are interested in knowing more about the methodologies used by STRO with its partners and strategic allies, don’t hesitate to contact us, either through email or telephone.
